Text (in Italian) by Biagio Lieti / Illustration by Fiammetta D'Aversa

Telling Alberobello. Tell its millennial history, its traditions, its perfumes, its music. Telling the extraordinary atmosphere of this "land of Wind with eyes full of memory". Telling the magic of the land of enormous fairy hats where reality meets fantasy and mystery.

Accompanying us in this journey through the streets and woods of Alberobello is Giravento, the man who still knows how to be surprise as a child. The man with bright and black eyes who still feel like a melody the voices and the rustle of palm trees. The man who walks light with the thought and the heart.

This illustrated book is much more than just a tour guide of Alberobello because Biagio Lieti was able to recount the soul of it. He was able to recount his voices and his silences. With the same intensity, with the same evocative power Fiammetta D'Aversa tells Alberobello with the language of images relying on visual suggestions of metaphor and symbol. A long wire connects the images between them is the thread of life that flows, is the thread of the wind that envelops everything. The illustrator illuminates the text and she becomes the means of a universalized view of the world to tell also throught the symbolism of colors, places and atmosphere of this land.
